Tubes Radiatori Unveils Artful Takes on Iconic Products
During Salon de Mobile, the manufacturer Tubes Radiatori presented artful reimaginings of some of its most iconic products. Prolific Italian designers Antonia Astori and Nicola de Ponti, for instance, looked at their Milano radiator from another angle. Milano Horizontal turns the sinuous columnar showpiece, which debuted in 2006, on its side. Mountable to the wall or floor, the steel unit comes in two lengths and nearly 40 colors and finishes—making it a highly customizable sculptural and functional accent for any space. Rift, designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba with Matteo Fiorini in 2014, also got a smart reboot via Rift Reverse. Its modular aluminum body is slightly deeper than the original’s, making it ideal for use as a warming shelf, and can be accessorized with a towel rail or wooden tray. L+RP also conceived the best-selling Soho, which in its newer Soho Electrical iteration is fully recyclable and operable via smartphone.
